Shoppers rally round to Give It Foward!

Hundreds of shoppers came out to support GIFT's Shopping Day on Sunday, purchasing much needed food for the charity's service users. Roxanne Stross, who organised the event, explains 'GIFT are always in need of more food to distribute to those experiencing financial hardship and are extremely grateful to the community who rallied round on Sunday donating food, toiletries and household items and also to all the amazing volunteers who gave their time to make the day such a success!’ Amongst many other initiatives, GIFT, through its army of volunteers, offers practical help and annually distributes more than £200,000 worth of food, toys, flowers and other items to over 1000 individuals and organisations across London and Manchester, referred by welfare organisations such as Jewish Care, Norwood, The Fed, Jami & Jewish Women's Aid.  GIFT is looking for volunteers to pack up/deliver food parcels  - especially over the holidays.
