GIFT’s charitable work has been nothing short of phenomenal and has inspired me and should inspire everyone to give back.

Donating to GIFT is a way of expressing our thanks for how it has inspired our children to want to make a difference in the world...

It brings me the greatest joy to supervise the weekly planning, preparation and sending out of homely prepared meals and I look forward to continue to grow the giving kitchen and watch it flourish.

I became a volunteer when I was 11, when I began to collect and sort food donations and raise money for GIFT's work from my friends. here I am 15+ years later, still involved with food drives, fundraisers and more.

The GIFT programme has been so beneficial to our pupils. It has reinforced the meaning of ‘giving’ and ‘generosity’ which is the founding principle of our faith. It has taught the pupils the value of cooperation and the bond of friendships. We cannot thank the GIFT Manchester team enough for their wonderful work.

Volunteering for GIFT back in 2008, when I was in Sixth Form, made a profound impact on me (not just because my now-wife did the food deliveries with me!). I would now like to share these experiences with my own kids as they grow up, to help them learn the lessons I was lucky enough to learn myself.

The most striking realisation I have had is that the GIFT mission is as much for the volunteer as for its recipients.

GIFT put me in touch with a lovely lady who lives alone. I know it means a lot to her that I come and chat; I have really benefitted from it too. I recommend that everyone gets involved.

My family volunteers at the Hub weekly, we love everything GIFT does for the community. It has taught my children to give back and appreciate their circumstances even more!
