Communities donated fruit, cheese cake and flowers to brighten up the Festival of Shavuot for GIFT’s families

HGSS mother and daughter flower-arranging evening together with Charity GIFT. GIFT’s education team in London, Manchester and Jerusalem ran sessions for over 800 participants this year in the run up to Shavuot. School pupils collected fruit which was made into fruit baskets, and communities made sushi burritos and cheesecakes for residents in old age homes and disadvantaged families. Hundreds of beautiful flower bouquets were also prepared in GIFT sessions in schools across London. HGSS arranged a mother and daughter flower arranging evening with flowers for the session generously donated by Sonia of Amber Rose, who also gave her time teaching the art of bouquet making. Rabbanit Batya from HGSS told us ‘it’s really wonderful to be partnering with GIFT to make beautiful bouquets together with the children in our community sharing the joy of Shavuot.’
