Maytal Field’s fundraiser - stationery for GIFT kids

18/08/20Maytal Field’s fundraiser - stationery for GIFT kids

11 year old Maytal Field has set up a Bat Mitzva charity project to provide stationery items for children who can’t afford what they need when they start school. Maytal explains “I have been volunteering with GIFT for the past three years, as well as weekly fruit and veg packing with my family during lockdown; and I thought that this project would be a really helpful way to support the children of the families that GIFT helps. I am very lucky as my birthday is at the beginning of September and my friends always buy me things that I need for school; but not everyone is as lucky as me. It makes me happy to think that I have helped in this small way!”

Maytal has fundraised, sourced and put together 255 pencil cases to go out to GIFT families as part of her bat mitzvah project. She has just finished primary school and will be starting JFS next month.

Maytal is extremely grateful to everyone, family & friends, who have donated to this project.

Maytal’s mother Deborah told us she is very proud of the way Maytal has stepped up and thought of others less fortunate and has chosen to celebrate her special milestone in this way.
