Family climb Mount Everest for charity!

09/06/20Family climb Mount Everest for charity!

Jeremy & Talia Rowe were very passionate about doing something positive to help those struggling during the pandemic. They came up with an innovative initiative for their whole family to raise money for GIFT by 'walking' the height of Mount Everest, over 58,000 steps over 2 weeks.

Talia tells us “We wanted to do something as a family to help others during this time. We often volunteer for GIFT and love doing so; we knew at this time that there would be an even greater need for GIFT’s services.

Our kids are very active and we were looking for an opportunity to give them a sense of achievement. We bought step watches and off we went, each day recording our steps.

Our children were very motivated and really excited to go walking in all weathers!”

Michal told us “I loved counting my steps everyday.”

Meira said “We put our watches on our legs so we didn't miss any steps!” And Yael explained “everyone was so generous!”

Family Rowe have so far raised £1336. To sponsor them please go to their page
